The Western Australian Private Education and Training
Industry Association (WAPETIA) is an association of
schools and colleges all dedicated to fair and ethical
conduct and the provision of quality education.
|
Members came together at a critical stage in the development
of the overseas education industry in Western Australia.
Formed in 1989, the Association quickly became an active
participant by making meaningful and practical contributions
to a number of significant issues facing the education
industry.
From its individual membership WAPETIA has a unique
understanding of the needs and opportunities within
the areas of international education in which it is
involved in Western Australia.
Over the years Western Australia has maintained leadership
in many areas of national endeavour. WAPETIA is determined
to follow this tradition. It is committed to retaining
a Western Australian flavour in both its identity and
contributions to the national development of this proven
high value export industry.
The aims and purpose of WAPETIA are the outcomes of
thorough and considered input from its members. The
Associations Constitution embodies these aims.
The Association is mindful of its charter to ensure
delivery of high quality of service and the maintenance
of acceptable practice and has developed a Code
of Ethics, which members must observe.
While focusing on the strongest possible representation
of its members interests, the Association realises
these are best served by considering the interests of
all organisations involved in the provision of quality
education and training services. This means the Association
is open to dialogue and interchange with any other association
or participant who has the interest of the education
industry at heart.
